ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of a medication called pregabalin to help manage pain after spinal surgery. The main goal is to see how effective different doses of pregabalin are at reducing pain without causing significant side effects. This research will focus on adults aged 65 to 74 who are having spine surgery for issues related to degenerative lumbar disorders.
To participate in this trial, patients must meet certain criteria. They should not have serious health conditions that could complicate their care, such as severe heart or lung issues. Additionally, those who frequently experience dizziness, headaches, or have a history of substance abuse or mental health disorders may not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive either pregabalin or a placebo (a non-active treatment) to compare the effects on their pain levels after surgery. This study is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into better pain management options for patients recovering from spinal surgery.
