ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new surgical method called Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy (UBE) for treating a condition known as lumbar spondylolisthesis, where one of the bones in the lower back slips out of place. The study aims to compare this new technique with a standard minimally invasive surgery to see which one works better in helping patients recover and avoid complications. Researchers will look at the results after surgery, including how patients feel and how their spine looks on imaging tests.
To participate in this trial, you would need to be between 40 and 75 years old and have lumbar spondylolisthesis with no more than two levels of fusion needed in your spine. However, if you have severe osteoporosis or a more complex spinal condition, you wouldn’t be eligible. If you join, you can expect to receive one of the two surgical treatments and will be monitored closely to see how well you recover. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it represents an important step in understanding the best ways to treat this common back issue.
