ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called AMYLYONCARP, is looking at how well two different types of wrist braces, worn at night, can help people with carpal tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition that causes pain, numbness, and weakness in the hand due to pressure on a nerve in the wrist. The study aims to find out which of the two wrist braces works better in reducing symptoms and whether they are comfortable for patients to wear. Researchers will also check how wearing these braces affects muscle and nerve recovery.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have carpal tunnel syndrome that does not require surgery. This means they should have certain test results showing less severe nerve damage. Participants must also agree to join the study and be enrolled in social security. Those with severe carpal tunnel symptoms, skin issues where the brace would go, or other health conditions that might affect their ability to follow the study rules won't be able to participate. If someone joins, they can expect to wear the wrist brace at night and help researchers learn more about managing this condition without surgery.
