ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying burnout among medical students in their final years of training at the United Arab Emirates University. Burnout is a condition that can make people feel extremely tired, disconnected from their work, and unfulfilled. It is a serious issue, especially for medical students, as they face intense challenges like high-stakes exams and the pressure of providing patient care for the first time. The goal of this study is to understand how common burnout is in these students and to identify factors that may contribute to it, helping to improve their well-being and future performance as healthcare professionals.
To participate in this trial, students must be in their 5th or 6th year at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, currently attending classes, and willing to consent to join the study. However, students who are currently dealing with active mental health issues or receiving treatment for them will not be eligible. Those who take part can expect to share their experiences and thoughts about their time in medical school, which will help researchers learn more about this important issue and work towards solutions that support students better.
