ClinConnect Summary
The Cannabis and Alcohol Reduction Study (CARS) is looking to help teenagers aged 13 to 17 who are seeking treatment for problems related to alcohol and cannabis use. The study will use a computer-based program designed to support young people in reducing their use of these substances. To be eligible, participants need to have used both alcohol and cannabis in the last three months and must have a caregiver who is willing to help and give permission for them to join the study.
If you or someone you know qualifies, the study will involve follow-up assessments one and three months after starting the treatment to see how well the program is working. This research aims to understand how effective the computerized treatment is for reducing substance use among teens. Participating in this study could provide valuable insights and support for those looking to make positive changes in their lives.
