Adapting and Evaluating a Tobacco Use Cessation Program for People Living With HIV in Uganda and Zambia

Additionally, you should be able to communicate in English or the local languages and be able to give your consent to participate. If you join, you can expect to receive support through your phone to help you quit smoking, along with the standard care that others receive at the HIV treatment center. This study is important because it could help improve health and save costs for many people dealing with both HIV and tobacco use.

• • Visitor, not receiving continuous care at study site
• • Not a current daily tobacco user
• • Any physical, cognitive, or psychological disabilities that would prevent them from participating in the study
• • Illiterate in English and/or local languages
• • Does not consent
