ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how methadone, a medication used to treat opioid addiction, is processed in the body. The goal is to create a model that helps doctors understand how different factors can affect how patients respond to methadone. By doing this, the researchers hope to find ways to reduce withdrawal symptoms, lower dosages, and give patients more control over their treatment by monitoring their blood levels of the medication.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be adults who have been taking the same dose of methadone for at least a week and are currently being treated for addiction in a specific hospital unit. They should also be able to stay in the hospital for 24 hours for monitoring. However, certain individuals, like those with weak veins, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and minors, cannot participate. If someone joins the trial, they can expect to be closely monitored and have their blood levels checked to help improve addiction treatment.
