ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the quality of life changes over two years for patients with chronic Charcot foot, a condition that can occur in people with diabetes. Charcot foot involves serious damage to the bones and joints in the foot and ankle, often leading to deformities and problems with movement. The researchers want to find out what factors might predict a worse quality of life for these patients, such as loss of foot function, deformities, and other health issues related to diabetes.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, without any open wounds on their feet. The study is currently looking for patients who are experiencing chronic Charcot foot. Those who have other types of foot problems or who are pregnant are not eligible. Participants will be monitored over two years to understand how their condition affects their daily lives, which could help improve care for others in the future. If you or a loved one meets the criteria, this could be an important opportunity to contribute to diabetes care research.
