ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a treatment called Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CI Therapy) for adults who have had a stroke and have mild weakness in one arm or hand. The goal of this therapy is to help people use their affected limb more effectively in daily activities. Participants will attend daily sessions during the week, where they will practice specific movements and engage in exercises designed to improve their arm and hand function. The therapy includes a unique strategy to encourage using the affected arm more often, even in everyday situations.

To participate in the trial, you must be at least six months post-stroke and able to move your wrist and fingers to a certain degree. You also need to show that you are using your affected arm to some extent. However, individuals who have severe cognitive difficulties or cannot attend sessions in the lab won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect a supportive environment focused on helping you regain strength and confidence in using your arm, ultimately improving your quality of life.
