ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different people respond to exercise, particularly focusing on whether simply following exercise guidelines is beneficial for everyone. The researchers want to find out if some adults don't see improvements in their heart and lung fitness or their overall health despite increasing their exercise. They are particularly interested in those who don't respond well to the standard recommendation of exercising for at least 150 minutes per week and are looking to identify alternatives to help these individuals reduce their risk of metabolic diseases.

To participate in the trial, you need to be between the ages of 18 and 65, live a sedentary lifestyle (meaning you exercise one day a week or less), and have a stable weight for the past six months. You should also have a body mass index (BMI) between 20 and 40. However, if you have certain health conditions, like diabetes or physical limitations that make exercise unsafe, you won't be able to join. If you decide to take part, you can expect to engage in various assessments related to exercise and health, helping researchers understand more about how exercise affects different people. This study could lead to new ways to support those who struggle to gain health benefits from exercise.
