ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on helping family members who care for young adults with psychotic disorders, such as paranoia. The goal is to provide these families with important knowledge and skills through a special educational program. This program will help them better support their loved ones and reduce the stress that often comes with caregiving. The study will involve sessions over nine weeks, where families will learn from experts and share experiences with peers.
To participate in this trial, the young adult must be between 17 and 27 years old and have recently been admitted to or discharged from a psychiatric unit for psychosis. Unfortunately, those who are not proficient in English or do not meet the other criteria won't be eligible. Families who join the study can expect to gain valuable insights and tools to help manage their situation better, contributing to the overall well-being of both the caregiver and the young adult they support.
