ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a supplement called nicotinamide riboside (NR), a form of vitamin B3, can help improve sleep and cognitive function in older adults who may be experiencing memory or thinking problems. Researchers believe that better sleep may lead to improved brain health, and they want to see if taking NR can boost the levels of a protein that supports brain function. The study will gather information from participants about their sleep quality and cognitive abilities through various assessments.
To participate in this trial, individuals should be between the ages of 65 and 80 and have a sleep quality score indicating they are having trouble sleeping. However, those who have been diagnosed with dementia will not be eligible to join. Participants can expect to take the NR supplement and participate in assessments that will track changes in their sleep and cognitive health over time. This study is currently recruiting, so if you or a loved one fit the eligibility criteria, it could be an opportunity to contribute to important research on brain health and sleep.
