ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to improve treatment for patients with a heart condition called ventricular tachycardia, which causes the heart to beat too fast. When medication isn’t effective, some patients undergo a procedure called catheter ablation, where doctors use heat to target and disrupt the faulty electrical pathways in the heart. Unfortunately, this procedure can be complicated and has only about a 50% success rate. The trial aims to develop a special tool that creates a detailed 3D model of a patient's heart using advanced MRI scans. This model will help doctors identify the best areas to treat before the actual procedure, potentially making the treatment safer and more effective.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be between 18 and 99 years old and have a specific form of ventricular tachycardia that requires catheter ablation therapy. They also need to have a heart device already implanted. Participants will not receive treatment during the trial, but their data will help validate the new heart model. It’s important to note that women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or those with certain medical conditions, may not be eligible to join. This study is currently not yet recruiting participants.
