ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how whole body vibration therapy (WBV) can help people who have had surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and are experiencing pain in the front part of their knee, known as patellofemoral joint pain. ACL injuries are common, especially in sports, and even after surgery, many people still have knee pain. The researchers want to see if using WBV for eight weeks can improve muscle strength and knee function, which might help reduce pain and improve recovery.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 60 years old, have had surgery on one knee for an ACL injury, and still have pain in that knee. Unfortunately, if you are over 60, have had surgery on both knees, or have certain health conditions affecting your knees, you won't be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to engage in exercises that include WBV, which may help your knee heal better and improve your overall strength. This trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you fit the criteria and are interested, it's a great opportunity to help advance our understanding of recovery after ACL surgery.
