ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on understanding how a specific condition called cardiac amyloidosis can lead to heart failure, particularly in the West Indian population. Heart failure happens when the heart can't pump enough blood to meet the body's needs, which can cause various symptoms like shortness of breath, fatigue, and swelling in the legs. The trial aims to find out how often cardiac amyloidosis occurs in people with heart failure in the French West Indies, as early detection of this condition is important for improving treatment and patient survival.

To participate in the trial, individuals must be 18 years or older and show signs of heart failure, such as difficulty breathing during physical activity or at rest, and have certain blood test results that confirm heart failure. Participants should also be able to understand the information about the study and provide their consent to join. Those who are under legal protection or imprisoned cannot participate. If eligible, participants will undergo assessments and tests to help researchers learn more about the impact of cardiac amyloidosis on heart failure.
