ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new service called Telemedicine and Medication Delivery Service (TMDS) that aims to improve access to healthcare for children with acute medical problems during nighttime hours in Ghana. Many children aged one month to five years face serious illnesses like pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria, which can become emergencies if they don’t receive quick treatment. The trial will take place in three communities and will assess whether this service is safe, practical, and can be expanded to help more children.
To participate, children must be ten years old or younger and have an urgent medical issue. If a child is ten years old and has a household visit, they will need to agree to participate. Parents or guardians must be at least 18 years old and can join the trial by calling the service during its operating hours. They will need to provide consent for their child to participate. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers an opportunity to help improve healthcare access for children in need.
