ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different methods of performing total hip replacement surgery: one done by a surgeon's hands (manual) and the other using a robotic system. The goal is to see which method allows for better movement and less impingement, or restriction, in the hip joint after the surgery. The study will involve 50 participants who will be randomly assigned to either the manual or robotic surgery group and will be monitored using CT scans to assess their progress.
To participate, you need to be between 18 and 85 years old and have been diagnosed with certain hip conditions like osteoarthritis or avascular necrosis. You also need to be scheduled for a total hip replacement and suitable for specific types of hip implants. If you choose to be part of this study, you'll be asked to provide consent, adhere to trial requirements, and allow your healthcare providers to be informed about your participation. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it's a great opportunity to contribute to research that could improve future hip surgeries.
