Siblings Screening Autism Spectrum Disorder Neurodevelopmental Disorders

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how common neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) are in siblings of children who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The goal is to develop a way to screen these siblings so that any potential developmental issues can be identified early. By doing this, the researchers hope to better understand how many siblings may also have NDD and how effective the screening process is for families.

To participate in the study, siblings aged between 2 and 16 years old who live in the Occitanie region and have a brother or sister with autism can join. Parents need to give their permission for their child to be involved. The trial will involve some screening tests to assess the child's development, and if there are any concerns, families will be informed and supported. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to help families by providing important information about the developmental health of siblings.
