ClinConnect Summary
The BMT4me trial is studying a new mobile health app designed to help children who have recently received a stem cell transplant remember to take their medications. This app aims to make it easier for families to keep track of important medications, especially during the challenging time right after the transplant when children are recovering and may need extra support. The trial will also look at how well caregivers can use the app and whether it helps improve medication adherence, which means taking the right medicine at the right times.
To participate in this trial, children must be between 0 and 21 years old and have had a stem cell transplant, either receiving immunosuppressive medications (which help prevent the body from rejecting the transplant) or anti-infective treatments. They should be living with a primary caregiver who speaks English and has a smartphone. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and families can expect to engage with the app while also providing feedback on their experience. This research will help determine if using the app is a helpful tool for families during this important recovery period.
