ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how real-time updates about the findings from a colonoscopy can affect patients' feelings of anxiety and depression after having polyps removed. Researchers believe that by informing patients right away about the nature of the polyps, it may help reduce their worries while they wait for further test results. The goal is to improve the overall quality of life for these patients.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 40 and 80 years old and scheduled for a sedated colonoscopy. They should be in good enough health to undergo the procedure and must give their consent to join the study. However, those with certain health issues, such as significant mental illnesses or existing gastrointestinal conditions, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive timely information about their colonoscopy results, which may help ease their concerns.
