ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how often and what kinds of risky behaviors happen in patients who are bedridden and agitated while staying in the hospital, especially those with brain injuries. These behaviors can increase the chance of falls or injuries, which can be dangerous for the patient. By watching and understanding these behaviors better, doctors and nurses hope to find ways to prevent accidents and keep patients safer without taking away their freedom.
The study is looking for patients who are staying in the neurosurgery department at Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital, who have brain or memory problems that cause confusion or agitation, and who will be in the hospital for at least nine days. Patients or their trusted family members need to agree to join the study. Participants will be observed to see when and how risky behaviors happen. This information will help caregivers respond earlier and provide better care. The study does not involve any new treatments, so patients will continue their regular care while being part of the research.
