ClinConnect Summary
The @neurIST clinical trial is focused on understanding and managing a condition known as intracranial aneurysms, which are bulges in blood vessels in the brain that can pose serious health risks. The main goal is to create a comprehensive database that collects important information about these aneurysms. Researchers will look at various factors that might increase the risk of developing these aneurysms or the likelihood of them bursting, such as genetics and environmental influences. They will also evaluate different treatment options, like monitoring the aneurysm, surgery, or other medical procedures, to see which approaches work best for patients.
To participate in this trial, individuals must have a confirmed intracranial aneurysm and be able to give consent, or have someone legally authorized to provide consent for them. The trial is open to all patients aged 65 to 74, and participants can expect to have their medical information used to help create personalized treatment plans based on the latest research. Overall, this study aims to improve care, lower costs, and advance knowledge in the treatment of cerebral aneurysms.
