ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how breast implants age and the factors that might lead to them breaking. As breast implants get older, they can wear out and may also be affected by bumps or pressure from everyday activities, surgeries, or even mammograms. The study aims to better understand why implants rupture, especially since previous research has shown that the longer an implant is in place, the more likely it is to break.
To participate in this trial, women aged 18 and older who had a breast implant procedure at HUS between 2022 and 2024 may be eligible, as long as they are willing to take part in the research. Women who have already expressed that they don’t want to participate or have certain health issues that could interfere with the study will not be included. If you join the trial, you can expect to provide information about your breast implants and their condition, which will help researchers gain valuable insights into this important topic.
