ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the GILL eHealth intervention, which is designed to help improve the physical health and lifestyle of adults with severe mental illness. The goal is to see if this program, led by trained nurses, is more effective than standard care in helping patients manage their physical health, especially for those who are overweight or have obesity. Participants will receive personalized plans that include health screenings and lifestyle advice to help them make positive changes over the course of a year.

To be eligible for the trial, participants must be between 18 and 65 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) of 27 or higher, and have access to the internet. They should also be able to understand and agree to take part in the study. During the trial, participants will receive support from mental health nurses to follow their health plans, and researchers will assess various aspects of their health and well-being, including physical activity and quality of life. It's important to note that those experiencing a severe mental health crisis or with certain medical conditions may not be able to participate.
