ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Older Adults Virtual Reality," is exploring how virtual reality (VR) can help improve balance and stability in older adults. As people age, they often experience a decline in muscle strength and balance, which can increase the risk of falls—one of the leading causes of serious injuries in seniors. This study aims to see if a two-week program using virtual reality can make a positive difference in how stable participants feel when moving around.
To join the trial, participants need to be older adults who can provide informed consent to take part. However, those with certain health issues, like major problems with their heart, lungs, or nervous system, or those who have had surgery on their legs, won’t be eligible. If selected, participants can expect to engage in VR exercises designed to enhance their balance in a fun and interactive way. This approach represents an exciting new option for helping older adults stay active and reduce their risk of falls.
