ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating whether muscadine wine, which is rich in certain beneficial compounds called polyphenols, can help improve brain health, memory, mood, and anxiety. Previous research suggests that foods high in polyphenols can enhance thinking and emotional well-being. The study will look at both short-term and long-term effects of consuming muscadine wine on these areas by examining how it might reduce inflammation and stress in the body.
To participate, you need to be a healthy adult between the ages of 18 and 60, with a body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 29.9, and weigh at least 110 pounds. Unfortunately, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, a smoker, or have certain health conditions like diabetes or mental illnesses, you won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to take part in various cognitive tasks and assessments to see how the wine impacts your brain function and mood. This study is currently recruiting participants, so there is an opportunity to be involved in an exciting research project that could lead to new insights in brain health.
