ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how an 8-week mindfulness program can help patients recover after having surgery for an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Many people who have ACL surgery experience not only physical challenges but also emotional difficulties, like anxiety and depression, which can make recovery harder. By using a mindfulness approach delivered through a mobile app, the study aims to see if this can improve the overall well-being and recovery of patients after their surgery.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 16 and 40 years old and have access to a smartphone or tablet that works with the Healthy Minds Program app. You should also be scheduled for ACL surgery. However, if you have a serious mental illness or have done a lot of mindfulness practice in the past year, you may not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to engage in mindfulness exercises from the comfort of your home, which may help you manage stress and improve your recovery experience. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and everyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to apply.
