ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is examining how the pressure of the cuff on an endotracheal tube (a tube placed in the throat to help with breathing during surgery) affects the chances of developing a sore throat after laparoscopic surgery. The researchers want to find out if keeping the cuff pressure too high for too long might lead to more patients experiencing throat pain after their operation.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be adults scheduled for laparoscopic surgery who will be under general anesthesia and require tracheal intubation. However, individuals who already had a sore throat or voice changes before the surgery, those with a known difficult airway, or patients whose surgery will last less than an hour won't be included. If you join the trial, you’ll help researchers understand this issue better, and they will monitor your recovery for any throat discomfort after the procedure.
