ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how taking a foot bath affects sleep quality in patients who are undergoing a specific type of surgery called transurethral resection (TURP or TURM). The study will include 82 adult patients who agree to participate and will randomly assign them into two groups: one group will enjoy a foot bath after surgery, while the other group will not. Researchers want to see if the foot bath helps improve sleep quality for those recovering from their surgery.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be adults who can communicate effectively and have agreed to take part in the research. On the day before their surgery, participants will be informed about the study, and their sleep quality will be assessed both before and after the procedure. Those in the experimental group will have their feet soaked in warm water for ten minutes after surgery, while those in the control group will not receive this treatment. This trial aims to gather information that could help improve recovery experiences for patients in the future.
