ClinConnect Summary
The ENDO-LANDSCAPE study is a clinical trial aimed at better understanding endocarditis, which is an infection of the heart's inner lining. This study is being conducted internationally and has two parts: one part looks back at data from patients diagnosed with endocarditis from 2016 to 2022, while the other part will follow patients currently being evaluated for endocarditis. By gathering this information, researchers hope to gain insights into how this condition presents in today’s older and more vulnerable patients, especially those who have had heart procedures.
To participate in this study, you need to be over 18 years old and either be referred for an ultrasound of the heart (called echocardiography) to check for endocarditis or already have a diagnosis of this condition. If you agree to join, you will be monitored over time to see how your health progresses. It's important to note that participation is completely voluntary, and you can choose not to participate if you wish. This study aims to improve understanding and treatment of endocarditis, ultimately helping to better care for patients in the future.
