ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different methods to help people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) who have trouble clearing mucus from their lungs. The study will compare a special device that helps clear airways with traditional chest physiotherapy exercises. Researchers want to see which method works better for improving symptoms, quality of life, the burden of treatment, and reducing hospital visits over the next year.
To participate, you need to be between 40 and 90 years old, have a diagnosis of COPD, and have been hospitalized recently or treated for a flare-up. You should produce mucus most days, and your doctor must have prescribed the best medications for you. If you're interested, you'll be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments and monitored throughout the year to see how you respond. It's important to know that if you have certain medical conditions, like unstable heart issues or recent bleeding in the lungs, you may not be eligible for this trial.
