ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of a dietary supplement called ASTARTE™ on women who frequently experience urinary tract infections (UTIs). The researchers want to see if taking this probiotic, which contains helpful bacteria, can change the balance of bacteria in the body and reduce the chances of getting another UTI over a six-month period. The goal is to help women aged 18 to 40 who have had recurrent UTIs, defined as having two or more infections in six months or more than three infections in a year.

To participate, women must be between 18 and 40 years old and have a history of recurrent UTIs. They should also be able to understand the trial and agree to follow the study guidelines. However, women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain health issues may not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect regular check-ins to monitor your health and the effectiveness of the supplement. This research could provide important insights into new ways to prevent UTIs for women who struggle with them.
