ClinConnect Summary
The UC San Diego Human Milk Biorepository is a study looking at how breastfeeding and human milk can benefit the health of infants and children. Researchers want to collect breast milk samples from breastfeeding women to better understand the unique properties of breast milk and how it might help protect babies from illnesses, including COVID-19. This trial is currently recruiting women who are 18 years or older, are breastfeeding, and can provide extra breast milk for the study.
If you’re eligible and decide to participate, you’ll be asked to donate some of your breast milk, which will be stored safely for research purposes. Your contribution will help scientists learn more about the important role of breast milk in child health. It's a great opportunity to be part of research that could benefit future generations of children.
