ClinConnect Summary
The Youth Nominated Support Team (YST) trial is studying a program designed to help young people who are at risk of experiencing serious mental health issues, such as psychosis and suicidal thoughts. The goal of this study is to adapt an existing manual used in the YST program to better support individuals who are at clinical high risk for psychosis. This means they want to make the program more effective in helping these young people by involving their family members and friends as part of their support team.
If you or someone you know is between the ages of 12 and 25 and has had thoughts of suicide in the past three months or has made a suicide attempt in the past year, you may be eligible to participate. It's important that participants have also received treatment for symptoms related to the risk of psychosis. Those who took part in the earlier phases of this study cannot join this phase. Participants will work closely with a support team and may experience new resources and strategies tailored to improve their mental health. This trial is currently recruiting, and it offers a valuable opportunity for young individuals and their families to receive support during a challenging time.
