ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "Can the Use of a Next Generation Partograph Improve Neonatal Outcomes?" (PICRINO) is studying whether a new way to monitor labor, called the WHO's Labor Care Guide (LCG), can lead to better outcomes for newborns and mothers compared to the usual monitoring methods. The researchers believe that using the LCG could help reduce problems for babies during and after birth and lower the number of emergency cesarean sections that are performed during labor.
Women who are in active labor can participate in this study, as there are no specific exclusions. If you choose to join, you will be part of a larger group that will help researchers understand both the medical and personal experiences of childbirth using the LCG. This will involve filling out questionnaires and possibly taking part in discussions about your experiences. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could help improve care for future mothers and babies.
