ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "A Regional Partnership to Improve Outcomes Through Fatherhood Engagement," is focused on helping fathers in the Bronx whose families are at risk of problems related to substance use, child abuse, or neglect. The goal is to see if providing additional support and services can improve outcomes for these families. Fathers who join the study will be randomly placed into two groups: one will receive regular services, while the other will get enhanced services, which include motivational support, a specialized fatherhood program, and case management to help them and their families.
To participate in this study, fathers must have at least one child under 18 years old and be identified as at risk for substance misuse. They can be custodial (living with their child) or non-custodial. However, if all children in the family are in foster care, they are not eligible to join. Those who participate can expect to receive personalized support aimed at strengthening their relationships with their children and improving family well-being. The trial is currently recruiting participants, so it's a great opportunity for eligible fathers to receive help and engage in their children's lives.
