ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a new way to provide occupational therapy for children aged 5-8 years who have neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). These conditions can make it hard for kids to participate in everyday activities. Because many families in Israel struggle to access traditional therapy services, this study is exploring the use of teleintervention, which means therapy sessions conducted over video calls. The trial aims to see if this remote approach can help children achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.
To participate, children must speak Hebrew at a native level and be able to identify at least three specific challenges they face in daily life. Families should have access to a computer with a webcam and an iPad connected to the internet. The study will involve 40 children, with half receiving therapy online and half receiving in-person sessions. Participants can expect 12 weekly sessions where they will work on their goals with the support of occupational therapists. The researchers will assess how well the teleintervention works compared to traditional methods and gather feedback from families to improve future services.
