ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to place zygomatic implants using robotic assistance. Zygomatic implants are special dental implants designed for people who have lost a lot of bone in their upper jaw and need support for new teeth. The goal of this study is to see if using a robot can help place these implants more accurately and safely than traditional methods, which can be challenging and require a skilled surgeon.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have specific conditions, such as having no teeth in the upper jaw due to severe bone loss or previous surgeries. Participants will undergo scans before the surgery to help plan the procedure, and the robotic system will assist the surgeon in guiding the drilling process. It's important to note that not everyone can join; for instance, those with chronic sinusitis or who are pregnant cannot participate. If you or a loved one are interested, feel free to ask questions about the study, as informed consent is required to move forward.
