ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new imaging technique called micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) to better understand different types of lung cancer, particularly adenocarcinoma. Micro-CT allows doctors to create detailed 3D images of lung tissue samples without needing to prepare slides, which can help in identifying and classifying various cancer patterns more accurately than traditional methods. The goal is to explore how different growth patterns of lung cancer can be seen through this innovative imaging, potentially improving diagnosis and treatment plans for patients.
To participate in this trial, individuals must have a suspected diagnosis of lung cancer and be scheduled for surgery to remove or sample the affected tissue. Unfortunately, those who have difficulty understanding or giving consent cannot take part. If you join the study, you can expect to have your lung tissue imaged using this advanced technology, which could provide new insights into your specific type of cancer. The research aims to enhance the way doctors classify lung cancer, which can sometimes be confusing with standard imaging methods.
