ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to manage pain for patients undergoing knee surgery, specifically looking at a method called the Parasartorial Compartment Block (PSKB). This technique aims to provide effective pain relief after surgery without affecting the ability to move, which is important for recovery. By blocking specific nerves in the area around the knee, researchers hope to help patients feel more comfortable and able to move around sooner after their procedure, reducing the risk of falls.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 75 years old and scheduled for knee surgery that will be done using spinal anesthesia. However, if you have certain health issues, like bleeding problems, are on blood-thinning medication, or have chronic pain before the surgery, you may not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive the new pain management technique during your surgery, and the team will monitor how well it works for you afterward. This study is currently looking for participants, so it’s a great opportunity to contribute to improving pain management in knee surgeries.
