ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how using cleaner cooking fuels, like Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG), can improve the health of women and children living in semi-rural areas of Bangladesh who are currently exposed to harmful air pollutants from traditional cooking methods. The researchers want to see if providing information and support through mobile phones can help families switch to LPG and if this change can lead to better heart and lung health, as well as stronger immune responses to vaccinations.

To participate, women aged 25 to 70 who previously took part in a related study and currently use traditional stoves for cooking may be eligible. They should not smoke or live with smokers and must have low levels of arsenic in their drinking water. Participants can expect to receive education through their mobile phones and will be monitored over time to assess the health impacts of switching fuels. It's important to note that individuals with certain health issues, like heart or lung diseases, or those on specific medications, will not be included in the study.
