ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how a medication called indomethacin can help prevent a condition called acute pancreatitis after a procedure known as EUS-FNA, which is used to examine pancreatic cysts. In this study, participants will be randomly assigned to receive either indomethacin or a placebo (a treatment that doesn’t contain the active drug) given rectally during the procedure. The goal is to see if indomethacin can reduce the chances of developing pancreatitis following EUS-FNA.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a pancreatic cyst that needs to be examined with EUS-FNA. However, people who are pregnant, have certain allergies, or have specific health issues like chronic pancreatitis or kidney failure cannot take part in this study. Participants can expect to receive either the medication or the placebo during their procedure and will be monitored for any side effects. This trial is currently looking for volunteers, so if you or a family member might be interested, it could be a good opportunity to help advance medical knowledge in this area.
