ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called eMOB, is looking at how physical activity and a sedentary lifestyle can affect the development of multiple chronic diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis. The researchers want to create a "digital signature" that shows how a person's activity level is linked to their health and any complications from their existing conditions. By using sensors to track movements, they hope to identify patterns that could help doctors spot problems before they worsen.
To participate, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and currently being treated for a chronic disease like rheumatoid arthritis, type 2 diabetes, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It's important that you can engage in some level of physical activity and are able to give your consent to join the study. If you decide to take part, you'll be monitored for your activity levels, and the findings could lead to better ways to manage chronic diseases and improve quality of life.
