ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of virtual reality (VR) to help patients recover after surgery for vestibular schwannoma, a type of tumor that affects balance. After surgery, some patients may experience problems like dizziness, balance issues, and blurry vision due to damage to the vestibular nerve, which helps control balance. The goal of the trial is to see if using VR can speed up recovery and improve quality of life by helping the brain adjust to changes in balance more effectively.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to have had surgery to remove a vestibular schwannoma. They should not have any serious eye problems or other nerve issues that could interfere with their ability to participate. Those who join the study can expect to engage in VR exercises designed to help their balance and recovery. This innovative approach may offer a new way to support healing and enhance their overall well-being after surgery.
