ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of Aloe Vera gel and Rosemary oil in preventing pressure injuries, also known as bedsores, in patients who are at risk, particularly those staying in orthopedic wards. Pressure injuries can occur when patients are immobile for long periods, so the goal is to see if these natural remedies can help keep the skin healthy and avoid these painful sores.

To participate in this study, you should be between the ages of 65 and 74, willing to join the research, and at risk of developing moderate to severe pressure injuries based on a scoring system used by nurses. You should not have any existing skin diseases, and you must be expected to stay in the hospital for more than 10 days. If you have any conditions like low hemoglobin levels, anemia, or a sensitivity to Aloe Vera or Rosemary, you would not be eligible to participate. If you choose to take part, you will be closely monitored throughout the study, and you may receive either Aloe Vera gel or Rosemary oil to see which one works better in preventing pressure injuries.
