ClinConnect Summary
The Registry for Hypoparathyroidism Wuerzburg is a clinical trial that aims to better understand the health challenges faced by people with chronic hypoparathyroidism, a condition where the body does not produce enough parathyroid hormone, leading to low calcium levels in the blood. This study will look at how this condition affects daily life, including any health problems or emergencies that may arise, as well as how patients feel about their overall health. Participants will take part in interviews and undergo tests like blood samples, heart ultrasound, and kidney ultrasound to gather information.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have been living with chronic hypoparathyroidism or chronic pseudohypoparathyroidism for over a year. They will also need to provide written consent to join the trial. The study is currently recruiting and is open to all genders. This is an important opportunity for patients to contribute to research that could improve the understanding and treatment of their condition, ultimately helping to enhance their quality of life.
