ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special breathing exercise called Baduanjin can help people who are experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety. The study aims to see if practicing Baduanjin can reduce these symptoms and whether any improvements are linked to better lung function. The trial is currently recruiting participants aged between 65 and 74, as well as younger adults from 25 to 56 years old, and it is open to everyone, regardless of gender.
To join the study, participants need to have a diagnosis of depression or anxiety based on specific guidelines and meet certain criteria, such as being able to communicate clearly and understanding the study's requirements. However, individuals with certain conditions, like bipolar disorder or severe illnesses, cannot participate. Those who take part can expect to learn Baduanjin techniques and may experience benefits for their mental health. It's important to note that the researchers are looking for volunteers who are willing to sign an agreement to participate and help contribute to this important area of health research.
