ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a mobile health application can improve breastfeeding and child feeding practices among mothers in Pakistan. The researchers believe that better nutrition in early life is crucial for children's growth and development. Currently, many children in Pakistan face malnutrition, which can lead to serious health issues. The trial aims to use a specially designed app to send helpful messages to mothers, empowering them to provide better nutrition for their babies.
To participate, pregnant women who are in their third trimester (around 36 weeks pregnant) and can read and write in English or Urdu may be eligible. They must have access to a smartphone with an internet connection and plan to stay in their area for at least a year after their baby is born. Participants will receive either the mobile app with personalized messages or standard face-to-face nutritional counseling. The study will follow mothers and their babies from one month before birth until the child's first birthday. If successful, this app could become a regular part of healthcare for mothers and young children in the future.
