ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new rehabilitation approach for people who have had a stroke and experience weakness in one arm, a condition known as hemiparesis. The researchers are testing a tablet app designed to help improve the use of both arms together. By practicing tasks that require coordination of both arms in specific rhythms and sequences, the hope is to enhance bimanual coordination, which can be beneficial for everyday activities.
To participate in this study, you should have a recent diagnosis of a stroke and experience moderate weakness in your arm. You also need to be alert enough to actively engage in the training for at least 30 minutes and be able to give your written consent to participate. Unfortunately, if you've had a stroke for more than three months, have certain vision issues, or are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, you wouldn’t be eligible. If you decide to join, you can expect to use the app during your rehabilitation sessions and contribute to understanding how this type of training can help in recovery after a stroke.
