ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether applying a special gel called hyaluronic acid can help heal damaged nipple skin in breastfeeding mothers. Previous research has shown that hyaluronic acid can help with healing wounds on the skin, but there hasn’t been enough study on its effects specifically for breastfeeding moms experiencing cracked or sore nipples. The trial aims to find out if this treatment can make a difference in their healing process.
To participate, mothers need to be breastfeeding and living in Osijek, with some level of nipple skin damage. Their babies should be newborns who were born at a healthy weight and gestational age. Mothers who do not breastfeed or are using other treatments for sore nipples will not be eligible. Participants can expect to apply the hyaluronic acid preparation as directed and will be monitored for how well it helps their nipple healing. This study is currently looking for participants, so it’s a great opportunity for eligible mothers seeking relief.
